Shillong, Cherrapunji and Kaziranga Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Guwahati. Meet and be assisted by our representative at the airport/Railway Station and proceed for Kaziranga National Park, the home of the “One Horned Rhinoceros” Check in at your hotel/Lodge/resort,. You can roam by the local villages surrounded by tea gardens In the evening enjoy cultural show at the Orchid park that start @ 6 pm. Overnight stay at hotel
Day 2
After breakfast enjoy jeep safari through the National Park. Apart from world's endangered One-horned Rhinoceros, the Park sustains half the world's population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers anywhere. Kaziranga is also a bird watcher's paradise and home to some 500 species of birds. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla's Fishing Eagle, Greyheaded Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here.
KAZIRANGA JEEP SAFARI
After safari check out from hotel and start your journey to Shillong, also called 'Scotland of the East" (300 kms 6 hrs). On the way see the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. You may enjoy boating there(if time permits). On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel.. Overnight stay in Shillong.
KAZIRANGA JEEP SAFARI
After safari check out from hotel and start your journey to Shillong, also called 'Scotland of the East" (300 kms 6 hrs). Day 3
After breakfast drive to enjoy full day tour to Mawlynnong Village- The cleanest village of Asia where you can enjoy the scenic beauty. In the adjacent Riwai village you can explore the single living root bridge. Then proceed to Dawki where you can visit the Indo- Bangladesh border, the panoramic view of the suspension bridge over the clear Umgnot river known for crystal clear water. You can enjoy boating in the river,( at your own cost and as per your choice).Then proceed to Cherrapunjee. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee
Day 4
Get up early today to enjoy the mesmerizing mornings of Sohra and after breakfast check out from your hotel and drive to explore Cherrapunjee , which is regarded as the wettest place in the world. It is a pleasant drive to see roaring waterfalls leaping into deep gorges, including the Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Waterfall,) the beautiful waterfall-Nohkalikai is at Cherrapunjee. You can also explore Arwah Cave, Mawsmai cave , drive towards Dainthlein falls, to explore the many waterfalls in and around. Then explore the beautifulPrut falls, Mawsawdong falls, Lyngsiyar falls etc and several view points in and around Cherrapunjee as per time permits. Overnight stay in Sohra.
Day 5
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Laitlum, Perched in the East Khasi Hills of Shillong, Laitlum Canyons is a little-explored haunt of the mountainous state of Meghalaya. Laitlum translates to ‘end of hills’ and this sublimely beautiful hilltop appears to be true to its name. At Laitlum, all one can see are breathtaking gorges and steep winding stairways that snake their way down to the lush valley. After that drive back to Shillong and visit police bazar for some shopping of local artifacts and souveniers. Then drive to Guwahati . On arrival check in at hotel. In the evening enjoy river cruise at the mighty river Brahmaputra with dinner. (optional)
Day 6
After breakfast ; check out from hotel and proceed to Nilachal hill to visit Kamakhya Temple which is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas. Then, You can enjoy ropeway ride across the mighty river Brahmaputra from where you can enjoy the bird’s eye view of Umananda temple. Then visit Brahmaputra River Front, The Brahmaputra Heritage Centre, etc. as per time permits and interests.

Situated on top of the Nilachal Hill, Maa Kamakhya Temple is the most sacred among the tantrik shrines of Shakti worship in the world. Kamakhya temple is also famed for the annual Ambubachi Mela held for 4 days during monsoon season. There are images of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Chamundi and many dance fixtures. Situated on the Nilachal Hill, the temple structure resembles a Shikhara - a beehive. Besides the main Devi temple, there are temples of 10 Mahavidyas in and around temple. These include Bhuvaneshvari, Bagalamukhi, Chinnamasta,Tripura Sundari, Tara, Kali, Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Matangi and Kamala Temples. Temple doors remain open for devotees in the following timings - 08:00 am to 01:00 pm & 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. airport for your onward journey. Tour ends with sweet memories.

- This is a standard suggested itinerary; it may be shuffled/ changed as per arrival and departure details/ other unavoidable situations.

- If any tour remains incomplete because of traffic congestion, festival or any other unavoidable situations, the company shall not be held responsible.

- Elephant Safari at Kaziranga National Park. @INR 1300/- per person.
- Dinner cruise at Brahmaputra River @ INR 1800/- per person (7:30pm to 9:00pm)

Note For Kaziranga
- Officially Kaziranga National Park remains closed from 1st June – 31st October. However Kaziranga would open for tourists on 20th Of October. During October one can enjoy Jeep Safari; but official opening of Elephant safari is from 1st of November. As this year flood occurred in Kaziranga National Park; it is yet to decide whether Elephant Safari will be opened on 1st November or not. And therefore it is not possible to commit elephant safaris in the month of October.
Safaries at Kaziranga
- Kaziranga National Park has 4 different ranges for safari. They are the Central or the Kohora Range, Western or the Bagori range, Eastern or the Agratoli range and the Burapahar or Ghorakati range. However if the guest wishes to explore the other ranges also then the same can be arranged at an extra cost. Timings for Elephant Safari are mornings 5.15 AM to 6.15 AM and 6.15 AM to 7.15 AM. Afternoon 3 PM to 4 PM. Timings for Jeep Safari are mornings 7.30 AM to 9.30 AM. Afternoon 2 PM to 4 PM and 3 PM to 5 PM.
Safari Guidelines
- Safari is managed by our representative in the National Parks / Wild life Sanctuaries
- Our representative will meet the guest in the evening at about 6:30 - 7:00 pm and provide all required information.
- We are not responsible for cancellation of safari by the authorities
- Sometimes, during season, the Parks may remain closed for census. This is announced only 2-3 days prior. We are not responsible for cancellation of safari in such a case.
- Refunds for safari, if any, will be transferred back to the agent and will not be handed over to guest
- In one jeep maximum 04 adult passengers can sit comfortably.

- Vehicle will not be at disposal it will be available to guest as per itinerary only (point to point basis),
- Kindly note: the above itinerary is possible to execute if you arrive Guwahati airport in the morning or afternoon and leave from Guwahati airport in the late afternoon or evening.
